Workshop - The power of translanguaging in the content classroom

This talk provides an introduction to the pedagogy of translanguaging – the use of home languages at school. Based on a systematic review of literature which synthesized 94 studies from across the world, we will explore what this pedagogical approach entails, the benefits it can have, as well as how teachers can use it in content classrooms characterized by multilingualism and migration.
